Hosting an event usually means juggling five different tools: a to-do list, your email inbox, a shared calendar, maybe a spreadsheet for the guest list. We’ve been chipping away at that friction one feature at a time, and three more pieces are almost ready to ship.
Here’s what’s coming to Mixily: you’ll be able to connect an AI assistant like Claude Code to help you plan, without ever handing over your password. You’ll be able to sync your Mixily events straight into Google Calendar. And you’ll be able to send your invites from your own Gmail address instead of a generic no-reply inbox.
None of this is live yet. We wanted to walk you through it now so you know exactly what to expect, and exactly what stays under your control, before it ships.

An AI Assistant You Can Actually Trust With Party Planning
Under Account Settings, we’re adding a new section called Agents. It’s where you’ll connect an AI assistant, like Claude Code, Grok, or whatever you’re already using, to your Mixily account.
Here’s why that matters. Planning an event is a dozen small decisions: who to invite, what to say in the invite, when to send the reminder. An assistant that already knows your event can help with all of that instead of you copy-pasting details back and forth between two apps.
How the Connection Actually Works
The Agents page gives you an MCP server URL (https://mcp.mixily.com) and a one-time connection token that starts with mxa_-. You paste both into your assistant. For Claude Code specifically, the page hands you the exact terminal command to run:
claude mcp add --transport http mixily https://mcp.mixily.com --header "Authorization: Bearer <token>"That token only shows once, so copy it before you navigate away. If you lose it, you can revoke the old connection and generate a new one from the same page.
Before you connect anything, here’s exactly what does and doesn’t happen:
- Your Mixily password is never shared with the connected assistant.
- Any invites the assistant prepares wait for your approval by email before they go out. Nothing sends automatically.
- Every connected agent shows up on the Agents page with when it was added and when it was last used.
- You can revoke access to any individual agent at any time.
Read through what your AI assistant drafts before you approve it by email. That’s the whole point of the approval step, so use it.
Worry that connecting an assistant means it can log into your account or send messages the moment you connect it. It can’t. Nothing goes out until you say so.
Picture it: you tell your assistant you’re hosting a housewarming next month. It pulls together a first draft of the invite and checks it against your guest list, then hands it back to you. You read it, tweak a line, and approve it by email. That’s the whole loop, and your password never enters the conversation.

Your Events, Automatically on Your Google Calendar
In Account Settings, a new Google Calendar section lets you sync so that events you host on Mixily show up automatically on your own calendar. Set up an event on Mixily (see our guide to creating your first event if you’re new), and it appears on your Google Calendar without you re-typing the date, time, or location anywhere.
We were careful about scope here. Mixily only adds, updates, and removes the events it created. It never touches anything else on your calendar: no scanning your other appointments, no surprise changes to events you didn’t create on Mixily.

Send Invites From Your Own Gmail, Not [email protected]
Right now, Mixily invites go out from [email protected]. Soon, in the Send From Your Own Email section of Account Settings, you’ll be able to switch that to your own Gmail address instead. Click “Send invites from my Gmail,” and future invites, reminders, and messages carry your name and your inbox.
- Invites and reminders arrive from your Gmail address, not a generic sender.
- Replies land in your own inbox, where you already check email, not a Mixily support queue.
- Guests recognize your name in the “From” line, so invites are less likely to get buried, filtered, or flagged as spam.
It’s a small change with an outsized effect on whether your guests actually see the invite in the first place.
Why We’re Building This
All three of these updates point the same direction: more control for you, less manual work in between. An AI assistant that helps you plan without ever holding your password. A calendar that updates itself. Invites that sound like they came from you, because they did.
